Ozzie Smith Announces Reunion Celebration w/ 1982 World Champion Infield.
The “Wizard of Oz” has announced that a celebration & reunion of arguably one of the best major league infields in baseball history is going to be held at Ballpark Village on February 17, 2022.

It will feature himself, as well as the entire 1982 infield of fellow St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famers Keith Hernandez (1B) and Tommy Herr (2B) as well as Ken Oberkfell (3B).
Hernandez and Smith earned a combined 24 Gold Gloves in their MLB careers. While Herr and Oberkfell might not have that individual hardware, they were catalysts in the infield (and at the plate) that helped the Cardinals win the 1982 World Series.

On top of that All-Star cast will be none other than their old skipper, and the architect of the team, Hall of Fame manager Whitey Herzog.

Fox Sports’ Joe Buck (the son of Hall of Fame Announcer Jack Buck) will be the special guest host of the event. Jack called the final out of that ‘82 World Series.

Ozzie has posted the event on his social media accounts as well as announcing it on KMOX, even personally sharing it in our Cardinals Nation 24/7 Facebook Group!
Tickets are $100 for general admission and can be purchased at http://www.ozzieandfriends.com

All proceeds will be benefiting PGA Reach. Smith is the president of the organization which helps children in school (in North St. Louis), as well as make golfing more accessible for kids in the area and helping disabled veterans.
It should make for an amazing evening, at an affordable cost, to help celebrate an amazing group of players and benefiting a great cause.
Hope to see you there!
